Steps!
He just took a couple of steps, coming after a ball. He's done it a few times, now, and I'll try to get it on camera when Bill gets home.

My phone is broken
This afternoon, I noticed some of the buttons on my phone were nonresponsive (including the on/off button), so I took out the battery and turned it back on. Since then, as soon as you push a button after turning it on, it turns itself off.
I'm going to try to locate one of our old phones, but until then, I will only be reachable via email.

Charmer/Bully
Peeking around corners and being chased are two of his preferred activities these days. He'll start crawling away and look back to see if you're following him, which leads to gales of laughter. I'll often go around a corner after him to find him sitting up waiting for me.
His favorite is peeking around something narrow enough, say a column or a person, that he can then lean over the other way and peek around the other side. Today he was waving to everyone in Toscanini's and generally being happy and outgoing so that one of the guys there joked, "Gee, I think you really need to teach him to be more friendly." Xan was charming him by peeking up from under the coffee table, then standing and peeking over it. Unfortunately it ended in tear when he bumped his nose on the way up.
The downside of his public behavior is that he expects everyone to share their food with him and is quite grabby. Even worse, he's pretty rough with other kids, very pokey and pinchy and slappy. You can see the fear in the other moms' eyes. We're working on being gentle, but mostly I have to hover with my hands within a few inches of his arms.
